MINDFULNESS – DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT
As in Emotional Intelligence, Mindfulness is concerned first and foremost with developing our personal awareness. However, using Mindfulness this goes to a far deeper degree by the regular practice of simple forms of meditation.
“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.”
JON KABAT-ZINN, Professor of Medicine Emeritus University of Massachusetts Medical School.
As individuals, our greatest resource is our mental energy – but similar to a battery it needs regular recharging. Ignore this fact and the quality of life can be governed by the law of diminishing returns.
Rather than waiting for a congested weekend to recharge our mental and physical energy, regular Mindfulness practice allows us to ‘top up’ throughout the week. Among many benefits, Mindfulness can improve:
- Stress management
- Anxiety levels & negative triggers
- Energy levels
- Sleep patterns
- Positive outlook
…to name but a few
My approach to the practice of Mindfulness in the workplace has developed directly from my own experiences in business and the huge benefits I experienced.
Mindfulness can be practiced as part of a coaching program or for itself alone. Either way the benefits are both a matter of record & my own experience.
- Formal Meditation
- Body Scan
- Walking Meditation
- Informal Meditation
- Mindful Eating
If you have questions regarding any aspect of my work with Mindfulness I shall be pleased to hear from you. Whether by email, telephone, Skype or in a one to one consultation we can discuss further whether you feel Mindfulness can help you and/or your staff.
